Justin and Gabriel playing with sparklers. This was Gabriel's first time to experience fireworks.
He was so brave to hold his very own.
Uncle Todd, Nanny Lissa, Grant, and Madison enjoying the sparklers too.
Gabriel did a little yard work too while he was there. He helped Pawpaw collect and split firewood. This was him taking a little break to play Star Wars with the cut down trees. The sticks were his swords.
O.K. This picture may look a little dangerous, but he had adult supervision the entire time. Gabriel was using his ax to chop the trees. Don't worry-the blade wasn't too sharp.
Pawpaw and Gabriel riding the four wheeler. He was a little timid at first, but opened up to it pretty quickly.
The day after Christmas, we set off for our journey of visiting. Our first stop was to Todd and Melissa's house. That evening we had a Christmas party at Justin's Granny's house. All of his family was there-except for Casey and Julia who were sick at home with the flu. (missed you guys) We had a great time with all of the cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Gabriel now has seven cousins-all boys and one girl. He had so much fun running around with all of them. That Saturday morning, we had our traditional Christmas breakfast with my family and opened presents. Then we left around lunchtime and headed to Katy. We had planned on having our Christmas with Honey, Casey, and Julia, but they all got sick. :( So we spent a lot of time visiting with friends we hadn't seen in a while and visiting the church we attended while living in Katy. It was great seeing everyone. Thanks Strattons and Reavis' for having us over; we had a great time. Gabriel really felt like he had brothers and sisters all weekend long. Monday morning, we headed over to my parent's house in Jasper-the cabin in the woods. We had so much fun roasting marshmellows, popping fireworks, and just hanging out with our family. We missed you Uncle Chad:)
