The Crew!

We took our first family vacation with some of our very good friends from Forney to Beaver's Bend. We had an absolute amazing time. We went non-stop (as much as you can with 6 kids). We went hiking and found a beautiful creek along our path. We stopped when we found a deep part of the creek and decided to jump in. After about 30 minutes of swimming, Jimmy, the oldest of the kiddos, jumps out of the water to find a leech stuck to him. Nevertheless, I believe most of us hopped out of the water. Some of us went trout fishing and some of us enjoyed the rewards of the fishing! My most favorite part of the vacation was the adventerous canoe trip we took with the whole bunch. Brooklyn and Gabriel rode with us, Carmela and Santiago had two kids, and Tori, Jimmy, and Elijah shared their canoe. We rode through some light rapids, jumped off some cliffs, had a lunch on the side of the river, paddled through a turtle lagoon, and climed some waterfalls. Nothing compares to God's creation!
