We started off the morning with a special visitor in a helicopter. What a surprise to see the principal, Mrs. McNeese and Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat. The kids were beyond excited:)
After our special visitors arrived, they led the kids in a parade. Gabriel: I guess he thinks he is getting too big for Mommy to snap his picture.
The Cat in the Hat greeted all the kids at the end of the parade. The kids then went to the flagpole to say their pledges. The festivities began with the DJ kicking it off with some fun kid's music.
Brooklyn's special friend, Natalie, was there too. Those two are as cute as a button:)
Gabriel zooming down the slide.
Water balloon toss! I think he dropped a few on purpose so he could get a little wet:)
The bean bag toss!
Gabriel's field day favorite: tug-of-war. That boy is super competitive. He wanted to win so badly.
But the girls came out victorious in their first battle. The boys won the second round. Then, they had a kids versus parents/teacher battle. Those kids are tough and pulled with all their strength. And they won:) The parents weren't going easy either. Determined kids!!
We had a great time at field day with Gabriel and all his first grade friends. Sendera Ranch Elementary did a great job:)
