We headed out to White Chapel Church for our traditional Christmas Eve Children's Service. I love White Chapel. It is absolutely beautiful, and they have designed a service just for kids presented by kids. One of our Christmas Even traditions is getting all dressed up and going to church.
And this is how our kids entertained themselves before the service began. We had a few minutes to spare. After church, we take the kids to a nice restaurant. This year we went to the Cheesecake Factory. After dinner, we stopped by a bookstore and got each one of the kids a nice book. And on our way home, we grabbed a few yummy bundt cakes at "Everything Bundt Cakes". It was a pefect evening.
When we got home from dinner, the kids know it is time to open up their Christmas Eve ornaments. They get one every year, and when they leave home and get married, they are able to take all their childhood ornaments with them.
This year, Brooklyn received a dancing ballerina, Case received a singing Winne the Pooh by a Christmas tree, and Gabriel received a singing Santa Claus.
The kids were excited to see them on the tree and lit up and singing.
Our last few things we do: We left out our cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Then, we read them a Christmas story and let Brooklyn and Gabriel sleep in the same room. They were all really excited to see what the morning awaited.
